Cinematographer Xaver Schwarzenberger

Cinematographer Xaver Schwarzenberger met Rainer Werner Fassbinder in 1979 when he was hired to shoot the TV series BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ (1980). Schwarzenberger subsequently worked as a director of photography on all four of Fassbinder remaining feature films: LILI MARLEEN (1980), LOLA (1981), VERONIKA VOSS (1982), and QUERELLE (1982). This interview was recorded in Munich in 2003.
