Angie Dickinson: Looking Back
In January 2004, cult actress Angie Dickinson sat down with German filmmaker Eckhart Schmidt to look back on her 50 years in Hollywood. Pretty early in her career, Dickinson specialized in playing smart, sexy, tough-minded women. Arguably her best-known movie role is tdance hall dame Feathers in Howard Hawks’ classic western RIO BRAVO (1959), with John Wayne and Dean Martin. She played Frank Sinatra’s estranged wife in Lewis Milestone’s heist spoof OCEAN’S ELEVEN (1960). Her other films include Don Siegel’s THE KILLERS (1964), John Boorman’s POINT BLANK (1957), and Brian De Palma’s DRESSED TO KILL (1980). All of these and many more are discussed here at great length.
